Information We Collect About You

The only information we collect about you is information which you directly supply to our Site and Services. We purposefully limit the amount of personal information that we collect about you because we consider retention of any sort of personal information to be a business liability. For example, rather than using unique usernames that identify you, our App provides the Services by creating non-attributable identities in order to minimize the amount of your personal information that we collect. Our App locally stores (1) a “receipt” from the App Store to validate that you are a paying user, (2) a randomly-generated device identity for the purposes of routing alerts to your device and other device-specific actions, (3) a randomly-generated device group master identity for the purposes of enabling future capabilities, which will allow users to add multiple devices to their subscription, (4) a listing of alerts to be sent to and displayed on your device in the “Alerts” tab of the Guardian Firewall app when specific network traffic has been detected, blocked, or otherwise flagged by our system for your attention and review, and (5) a listing of custom parameters entered by the user, such as IP addresses and DNS hostnames, used for block-listing or exception-listing purposes. When we discuss below the information we collect, how we use it, and how we share it, we are only talking about the minimal amount of personal information that we collect.
